Argus Investors' Counsel People

The portfolio management team at Argus Investors' Counsel consists of Sharon Wagoner, Stewart Zobian and Donna Palais. They have worked together since 1994. Each has managed equity portfolios through a broad spectrum of market conditions, economic cycles and geopolitical events.

SHARON D. WAGONER - Chairman

Ms. Wagoner is Chairman of Argus Investors' Counsel. She is an officer and on the Board of Directors of The Argus Research Group, our parent company. She also has portfolio management responsibilities and brings expertise from her years as an analyst of the pharmaceutical and entertainment industries. Part of the third generation of management, Sharon is the granddaughter of Harold B. Dorsey, who founded Argus Research Corporation in 1934. Prior to joining Argus, Sharon served as an officer and analyst at John S. Herold, Inc. where she co-authored a monthly investment research publication. She contributes a legal and compliance perspective to the firm, having served as a partner in the law firm of Tyre and Smith before joining Argus. Sharon holds a B.A. in Economics from Duke University and a J.D. from Fordham Law School. She was a member of the Phi Delta Phi Honorary.

DONNA M. PALAIS - Vice President

Ms. Palais has managed portfolios for Argus clients since 1994, including public and corporate retirement funds, foundations, endowments, and high-net-worth individuals. Prior to joining Argus, Donna managed portfolios at Citibank Global Asset Management. She has more than 20 years experience in the field and holds a BS in Psychology and an MBA in Finance from Fordham University.

STEWART P. ZOBIAN - Portfolio Manager

Mr. Zobian joined Argus Investors' Counsel in 1993. Having worked in the investment business for the majority of his career, Stewart brings a wealth of experience managing institutional equity assets for large corporate and public retirement plans, which has helped him contribute to the investment committee. Stewart holds a BS in Economics from Purdue University and attended New York University's Graduate School of Business. His articles have been published in The Financial Analysts Journal, and he was a contributor to Cohen, Zinbarg & Zeikel's textbook, "Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management," chapter 17, "Integrating Portfolio Theory and Management."

JAMES TIERNEY - Director of Marketing

Mr. Tierney joined Argus Investors' Counsel in 2005. Previously Jim was Director of Marketing and Client Service at Simms Capital Management Inc. Prior affiliations include The NorthStar Funds and Prudential Capital Markets. He received his B.A. from Hobart College in 1987.
